According to STL Partners, 49% of enterprises in specific industries are actively exploring edge computing and it is estimated that the total number of edge sites will grow by 226% from 2019 to 2025, an indication that an edge strategy is now necessary to compete and build competitive advantage. However, with so many perspectives and diversity of use cases and deployment models, understanding edge requirements can be a struggle.
This panel will explore the end requirements of edge and how to meet them. Our panellists will delve into the various models, including build-to-use case, and how offerings can present an opportunity to mitigate an enterprise’s concentration risk and differentiate their user experience.

Andrew Donoghue is the Global Director, Analyst Relations for Vertiv. He specialises in data centers and critical infrastructure. He is the author of several influential reports covering topics including renewable energy and the data center; IT power management; and data center cooling. He has worked for analyst companies such as 451 Research and has also held senior editorial roles at business publishing companies including CBS Interactive and Incisive Media. He has also been involved in a number of European Commission-funded IT research projects into data center energy efficiency and sustainability.
